    Quality George III Christening mug 1791 Bateman

    This super quality baluster form George III silver christening mug was made in London in 1791 by Peter and Anne Bateman and measures 3.25 inches tall by 2.25 inches in dia across the base. It has a scrolled handle with acanthus leaf thumb piece and bears the initials W*W to the front, it has its original gilded inside and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base, a very nice mug with no problems and weighing 4 ounces.
