Very rare Charles I silver childs slip top spoon London 1631

    Reference: chsl

This exceptionally rare Charles I silver child's slip top spoon was made in London in 1631, the makers mark being only a partial as it was struck to the edge of the stem. It measures 4 1/8 inches in length and is fully hallmarked to the back of the stem and also in the bowl with the leopards head, it has a fig shaped bowl which has a few pin prick dings to the back but it is a good shape with no major signs of wear, a very rare survivor of the age indeed.
