    Very rare miniature Queen Anne silver lidded tankard London 1709 David Clayton

    This very rare miniature Queen Anne Britannia standard silver lidded tankard was made in London in 1709 by David Clayton and measures 1.75 inches to the top of the thumb piece by 1.25 inches across the base and 1 inch across the lid. It is well modelled with a scrolled thumb piece and cut detailing to the front of the hinged lid and has a scrolled handle with a trefid shaped terminal and has the initials A*B under the base and is fully hallmarked to the side and also on top of the lid with the makers mark and on the inside of the lid with the lions head erased. It is in excellent condition with no problems and a very collectable piece.
