Superb set 6 George II silver scroll back spoons London 1753 James Wilkes

This superb set of 6 crested and bottom marked George II silver scroll backed spoons were made in London in 1753 by James Wilkes and measure 8.25 inches in length and are crested to the fronts with a lion rampant. They have the most beautiful scrolled acanthus leaf and beading to the backs of the bowls that are very well defined and sharp and are fully and clearly hallmarked to the backs of the stems, the bowls are well formed with no signs of wear and of good gauge with thick tips and they are in excellent condition with no problems, a very fine set of spoons weighing 11.65 ounces or 363 grams.
