Excellent copy Elizabeth I silver Tigerware Jug

    Reference: tig

This lovely quality copy of an Elizabethan tiger ware jug was made in Chester in 1912 by Nathan and Hayes and measures 10.5 inches tall by approx 5 inches in dia at its widest and is 4 1/8 inches in dia across the base and 2.75 inches across the top. It has a well made and nicely patterned body with a scrolled handle and the silver is well engraved and embossed with fruits and lions masks and stippling and beading and a shaped finial to the hinged lid and a nicely cast and pierced thumb piece. It is fully hallmarked to the base and also to the lid rim with the makers mark and lion passant. A superb piece of silver it its own right with no problems.
